There are two ways to get your money back:
A refund closes the trip. Everyone on it gets an email, with a link to download the trip's journal and photos if there are any.
A trip opened with a code was not paid for, so there is nothing to refund; the plan still arrives on the same schedule.
If your first plan isn't in the app within 24 hours of your payment, or your second plan isn't in the app within 48 hours of your feedback, we refund you in full, automatically, and email you to say so. This covers anything on our side: our systems being down, a plan that fails to build, or anything else we're responsible for.
If a plan fails in a way we need to look at by hand, we'll email you and either deliver it or refund you in full.
You can request a refund from the trip's More page if all of these are true:
The More page shows the exact date and time your window closes.
For example: your first plan arrives on October 1 and your second on October 3. Your window closes on October 15 (14 days after the first plan), unless your trip starts sooner, in which case it closes when the trip starts.
A refund closes the trip and removes it from the app. Chat stops, and the invitations stop working. Everyone on the trip gets an email. If the trip has a journal or photos, the email has a link to download them, which works for 30 days. If you'd like a copy of your documents, reply to the email and we'll send them.
If you bought an upgrade for the trip, it's refunded together with the trip.
Extra travelers you add in the app can't be refunded once bought. If we refund your whole trip because we couldn't deliver your plan, they're refunded with it. Extra travelers bought at checkout are part of the trip's price. A traveler who leaves frees that place for someone else on the same trip.
Deleting a trip isn't the same as a refund: deleting it yourself doesn't refund you. If you want your money back, request a refund instead.
If you haven't sent your feedback by 2 days before your trip starts (and you've had your first plan for at least a day), we finalize the first plan for you, open chat, and send the invitations, so your trip isn't held up. That counts as feedback done, so the refund rule above still applies until your trip starts.
If you dispute the payment with your bank or card issuer, the trip pauses while the dispute is open, and any refund goes through the dispute rather than the app. This includes a dispute over an extra-traveler payment.
A refund goes back to your original payment method. It usually shows up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
We constantly monitor June and work to keep chat available, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime; some causes are outside our control. If chat is unavailable for more than 3 hours during an active trip (from your trip's start date through its end date), you may be credited at our discretion. Write to hello@fingerposttravel.com with the dates and times chat wasn't working, and we'll take a look.
If you order the printed book (an add-on for any plan), it's refundable any time before it's sent to print. Once printing has started, it can't be canceled or refunded, except:
Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you where you live.
