Fingerpost is a product of MXI Ventures LLC, a company based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. When these terms say "we," "us," or "Fingerpost," we mean MXI Ventures LLC. When they say "you," we mean the person who created an account or was added to a trip.
You can reach us at [email protected]. Our site is fingerposttravel.com and the app is at app.fingerposttravel.com.
Fingerpost is a trip planner and travel companion. You answer a short interview about a trip, and we build you a day-by-day plan. During the trip, you can chat with your travel companion, June, keep a journal, track expenses, and share the trip with the people traveling with you. Afterward, you can order a printed book of the trip.
Fingerpost is sold per trip, not as a subscription. There's no recurring fee and nothing to cancel.
An account needs only an email address. There's no password. To sign in, we email you a link and a 6-digit code; either one signs you in. Keep your email account secure, since anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
We sign you in for 90 days at a time before asking you to sign in again.
You must be 18 or older to create a Fingerpost account or buy a trip. As the admin on a trip, you're responsible for everyone you invite to it, including any participant or viewer under 18: their consent to join, their conduct on the trip, and any content about them, such as a name or a photo, that gets added. Participants and viewers don't need to be 18 themselves.
Every trip has one or more people on it, each with a role:
Admins can invite people to any role. Participants can invite viewers, so the person who set up the trip doesn't have to be the one sharing it with family at home. Sharing works through an invite link for each role; anyone with that link can join the trip at that role, so share it only with people you want on the trip. An admin is responsible for everyone they invite to a trip, including any participant or viewer under 18; see Minimum age above.
Please don't use Fingerpost to:
We can suspend or close an account that violates this.
June, your travel companion, isn't a person. She's a feature of the app, built on an AI language model that reads your trip's details and writes replies and plans. Her answers can be wrong, outdated, or based on information that has since changed.
Treat everything June and the plan tell you as a starting point, not a confirmed fact, especially anything time-sensitive: train times, opening hours, reservations, prices, and availability. Always confirm those directly with the business, venue, or transportation provider before you rely on them.
We constantly monitor June and work to keep chat available, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime; some causes are outside our control. If chat is down for more than 3 hours during an active trip, you may be eligible for a credit at our discretion; see Refunds for details.
Fingerpost doesn't book flights, hotels, tickets, or anything else on your behalf, and we're not a travel agent. Every reservation and purchase in your plan is something you make yourself, directly with the provider. We don't guarantee that anything in your plan, a price, an opening time, availability, is still accurate by the time you get there.
You pay once for each trip, at the price and tier shown at checkout. That price covers everyone traveling together, up to four people, on one plan; each additional traveler is a small add-on, shown at checkout. Prices may change for trips purchased after a change; if you've already paid for a trip, your price doesn't change.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers; see our Privacy page for more on how we handle payment data.
Our refund policy is on a separate page: see Refunds. In short: if we fail to deliver your plan, you get a full refund.
A trip doesn't stay open forever. Five days after your trip's end date, June stops answering and the plan can no longer be edited; your journal, expenses, and documents stay open and readable. Ten days after the end date, the whole trip becomes read-only: everything is still there to read and print, but nothing new can be added, except that an admin can still remove members, revoke invites, and delete documents.
You own the photos, journal entries, and other content you add to a trip. By adding it, you give us permission to store it and show it to the other people on your trip, according to their role. If you order a printed book, the content you include is used to make that book. We don't use what you upload for ads, and we don't sell it. See our Privacy page for more.
You can delete your account at any time from the app (More, then "Delete my account"), or by writing to [email protected]. A trip's creator can delete the trip. A deleted trip is kept for about 30 days, and we can restore it within 29 days if you write to us; then it's permanently purged. Deleted photos and documents can't be restored. Deleting your account anonymizes it in our records; our Privacy page explains what is removed and what stays with a shared trip.
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or misuses the service.
Fingerpost is provided "as is." We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the plan or the companion's answers will always be accurate.
To the extent the law allows, MXI Ventures LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including a missed reservation, a wrong price, or a plan that turned out to be inaccurate. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the trip the claim relates to. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Most disputes arising from these terms or your use of Fingerpost are resolved through binding, individual arbitration, not in court and not as part of a class action. You and Fingerpost each waive the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class, collective, or representative action against the other. Either of us can still bring a qualifying dispute to small claims court in Maricopa County, Arizona, instead of arbitration. Anything not covered by arbitration is decided in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you agree to that venue.
You can opt out of arbitration and the class-action waiver. To do so, email [email protected] within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms and say you want to opt out. If you opt out, disputes are decided in the courts named above instead.
We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and we'll try to let you know about any change that meaningfully affects your rights.
